GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay men's soccer will look to continue their unbeaten start to the 2022 season when they take on the Memphis Tigers Saturday evening.

The Phoenix and Tigers have never played each other. Memphis is in the American Athletic Conference, while the Phoenix competes in the Horizon League.
 
ABOUT THE TIGERS
Richard Mulrooney enters his ninth season with Memphis. He is a former Major League Soccer and United States Men's National Team player. The Memphis native guided the Tigers to a third-place finish in the AAC during the 2021 season.
 
Memphis has scored six goals in their first three games, scored by six different players. Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos paces the team in shots (10) and shots on goal (5). Hayden Anderson and Marcus Larikka have chipped in with two assists.

BARRY SOLID PERFORMANCE
For the second consecutive week, the Horizon League tabbed a Green Bay men's soccer player as Defensive Player of the Week. Hesron Barry garnered the honor this time after starting all four games as a center back while being one of three players on the team to play all 360 minutes. He leads all GB defenders with three shots.
 
WINNING WAYS
Green Bay's win over Bradley marks the fourth time since the 2010 season the Phoenix has been unbeaten in their first four games. The previous three times GB has been unbeaten through four games are 2018, 2017, and 2013. All three were winning seasons, including a Horizon League Championship appearance in 2017 and a HL Quarterfinal appearance in 2018.

ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF
The Phoenix got younger this last offseason, with head coach Jeremy Bonomo bringing in 20 recruits. In total, there are 14 true freshmen on the squad. Chris Album has been stellar for GB through the team's first four contests. He is tied with Andrew Paolucci for most goals scored (2) and points (4) while pacing the team with nine shots.
