Eric Valentin (Orlando, Fla.) had many memorable moments as a walk-on junior on the Green Bay menís basketball team in 2010-11. He broke the Guinness World Record for most halfcourt shots made in a minute. He appeared on ESPNís SportsCenter and Yahoo.com and was interviewed by NBAtv. He was an important spark off the bench in a home win over Houston Baptist. Tuesday, on the first day of his senior year, Valentin had a moment that topped them all. After the teamís first conditioning session of the fall, head coach Brian Wardle surprised Valentin in front of his teammates by offering him the teamís last scholarship for the 2011-12 season.

On Jan. 14, 2011, Green Bay junior guard Eric Valentin broke the Guinness World Record for most half-court shots made in one minute, draining an unprecedented eight half-courters in 60 seconds. The previous record of seven was held by Charlie Vernon. Valentin is in the process of getting his performance verified and entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
