After a slow start to the 2012-13 season by his standards, junior Alec Brown has hit his stride as of late, averaging 14.7 points per game in Horizon League play. Brown scored his 1,000th-career point in a 23-point effort in a win at Milwaukee on Jan. 25, and most recently scored a career-high 25 in a victory at Loyola Feb. 2.

04/19/2012 Brown Becoming One of Program's Elite
Midway through his collegiate career, Green Bay big man Alec Brown (Winona, Minn.) is already establishing himself as one of the elite players in program history. Brown was a First-Team All-Horizon League pick in 2011-12, becoming the first Phoenix sophomore to receive such honors since Jeff Nordgaard in 1993-94. Brown led the team in points (13.8) and rebounds (8.2) while breaking the school's single season (89) and career (156) blocks records.
