GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women’s basketball team kicks off a string of six games away from the Kress Center as it travels to St. Bonaventure and Duquesne this weekend.

The Phoenix will face the Bonnies on Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on the Dukes on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both St. Bonaventure and Duquesne are members of the Atlantic 10 conference. Green Bay is 5-1 all-time against competition from the A-10, including wins over St. Bonaventure and Richmond last season.

Fans can listen live to the game on Green Bay's new radio partner, WNFL 1440 AM. The live audio with Bruce VandenPlas on the call will also be available for free via GreenBayPhoenix.com or on the Green Bay Phoenix App on IOS and Android devices. Live stats and live video will also be available.

St. Bonaventure enters the weekend with an overall record of 1-1. This is just the second meeting all-time between the two squads, and the second of a home-and-home series that started last season. A year ago the Phoenix earned a 61-42 win over the Bonnies at home. Senior Breannah Ranger finished with a game-high 14 points in the contest while shooting 70 percent (7-10) from the field.

This season the Bonnies lost their opener to N.C. State, 70-47, before rebounding with a 77-72 win over Colgate. Gabrielle Richmond leads the team with 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds this season.

Sunday’s matchup will be the first-ever meeting between Green Bay and Duquesne. The Dukes are 1-1 this season and will take on Kent State Thursday night before preparing to face the Phoenix on Sunday in its home opener.

STARTING FIVE
1. Road Warriors:
After opening its season at home for the first time in 26 years, the Phoenix now hits the road for a stretch of six games. It is just the third time in the Division I era Green Bay has played that many consecutive games on the road, as it also happened to start both the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons. The 1998-99 season was head coach Kevin Borseth’s first season at the helm in Green Bay.

2. Winning Ways: Green Bay is currently riding a 22 game winning streak dating back to Dec. 8 of last season. It is the fourth-longest regular season winning streak in program history.

3. Weekly Honors: After missing the 2012-13 season with an injury, redshirt freshman Mehryn Kraker make her first collegiate start in the season opener against Northern Illinois, posting a game-high 13 points and two blocks in addition to five rebounds and two assists. For her efforts she was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Monday.

4. Closing in on 250:
Head Coach Kevin Borseth is closing in on his 250th win at the helm of the Phoenix. In 311 career games over 10 seasons in Green Bay, Borseth is 246-65 (.791). Carol Hammerle (1973-98) is the all-time winningest coach at Green Bay with 456 career wins over 25 seasons.

5. Young Guns: All five freshman on the Phoenix squad recorded at least one point in the season-opening win against Northern Illinois. The last time the Phoenix had five freshman play and register at least one point in the same game was on December 12, 2009 in an 83-37 win at the University of Evansville.
