HARTFORD, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men’s golf team concluded play in the Erin Hills Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in 12th place in the competitive 14-team field. Led by individual medalist Patrick Rodgers, Stanford completed the 54-hole event in 13-under par.
The tournament concluded a successful fall season for the Phoenix which included three tournament victories and two Horizon League Player of the Week awards.
Green Bay shot a 317 on Tuesday at Erin Hills Golf Course, finishing the event at 922. Sophomore Gene Kiela (Plymouth, Wis.) led the Phoenix in a tie for 45th place (227=71-78-78).
Junior Tom Boockmeier (Green Bay, Wis.) was one stroke back of Kiela in a tie for 49th place (228=72-76-80). Junior Joseph Collard (Marinette, Wis.) finished in a tie for 58th (231=75-76-80) while senior Dan Ozga (Edgerton, Wis.) finished tied for 72nd (236=77-80-79) and redshirt freshman Joe Du Chateau (Fond du Lac, Wis.) ranked 79th (80-82-85).
