GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com)
– The Green Bay men’s soccer team heads to its second-consecutive tournament this weekend, competing in the University of Evansville ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic. The four team tournament features Green Bay, Eastern Illinois, NJIT and host Evansville.

The Phoenix will face Eastern Illinois on Friday at 5 p.m. before taking on NJIT on Sunday at noon.

Green Bay is 3-2-1 on the season and continues a string of five matches away from Santaga Stadium. Sam Krenzien (Wauwautosa, Wis.) leads the team with 10 points on a team-best four goals and two assists, and Lawrence Talery (Coon Rapids, Minn.) has a team leading three assists in addition to two goals.

Kyle Ihn (Wales, Wis.) has started all but one match in goal, posting a 2.33 goals-against average and a .613 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS: Roster Schedule Stats
Friday’s match will be the 21st meeting between the two squads, with EIU leading the all-time series, 12-6-2. The two teams last met in 2006, with the Panthers earning a 3-0 win in Green Bay.

EIU has put just four goals on the board in four matches and has been outscored by its opponents, 12-4, including 7-2 in the second half. Four different players have netted a goal for the Panthers, while Jake Brillhart has had a hand in three of the four goals with a team best three assists.

Three different keepers, Garrett Creasor, Ben Feltes and Austin Miller have started in net, posting a combined 2.99 goals-against average and a .500 save percentage.

 Roster Schedule Stats
NJIT is 2-3-1 this season, competing as an independent NCAA member. The Highlanders will face host Evansville before taking on Green Bay on Sunday. Friday’s match begins a span of five matches away from Newark for the Highlanders.

Tommy Osipitan leads the squad with two goals, while five other players have scored a goal this season. Four different players also have one assist on the stat sheet. Alexander Czempik has started five of the six matches this season, recording a 0.96 goals-against average and a .842 save percentage.
