GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay men’s soccer head coach Dan Popik has added three more players to his 2013 recruiting class, as Dary DeWalt, Fayçal Oulahbib and Ricardo Pinto are each set to join the Phoenix in the fall. The additions bring the total number of incoming players to 19 for the upcoming season.
“I’m excited to add these three players to our 2013 recruiting class,” said Popik, who enters his second season at Green Bay. “They are talented players who will increase the quality and depth of our squad.”

Milwaukee, Wis. | Shattuck-St. Mary's
DeWalt, a 6-foot-2 goalkeeper from Milwaukee, spent the 2012 campaign at the University of Kentucky where he redshirted as a freshman for the Wildcats. He is a product of Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Minnesota – a US Soccer Development Academy Program – where he started six games in goal as a senior in 2011 and was also named most improved player. Prior to attending Shattuck he played prep soccer at Greendale High School from 2008-09, where he was selected to the all-state and all-region teams in addition to being named team MVP. He was also a goalkeeper for FC Milwaukee, where he earned a three-star rating from TopDrawerSoccer.com.
5'11'' | 160 lbs.
Oulahbib, a 5-foot-11 forward from Chelles, France, comes to Green Bay after playing the last three years in some of the top French soccer divisions. He spent one season with Valenciennes FC (U17), which plays in Ligue 1 (France’s first division), scoring 11 goals and dishing out five assists. He also played two years with Chamois Niortais (U19) in Ligue 2, scoring 24 goals and recording eight assists.

Beaverton, Ore. | Southridge High School
OSSA Green (OPL)
Pinto, a 5-foot-10 goalkeeper from Beaverton, Ore., attended the University of Minnesota-Morris in 2012 where he posted a 4-1 record in six appearances as a freshman, making nine saves and recording a pair of shutouts. He is a graduate of Southridge High School where he helped his team to an appearance in the Oregon state semifinals as a senior. Pinto also played club soccer for OSSA Green in the Oregon Premier League, a squad that ranked second in the state and 38th nationally in 2012.
Each of the 19 Phoenix newcomers, along with the team’s eight returning players, will begin practice in August in preparation for Green Bay’s 45th men’s soccer season. The Phoenix opens the 2013 campaign at DePaul on Aug. 30 and will play its first home match on Sept. 7 against Western Illinois at Santaga Stadium.
