Andrew Gavin is in his fourth year at Green Bay. He was hired as the Director of Athletics Communications in August 2010 and promoted to Assistant AD for Communications and Video Services in October 2012.
Gavin manages the Office of Athletics Communications staff and oversees the department's media relations and video services efforts for each of Green Bay's 16 varsity sport programs as well as the content and maintenance of GreenBayPhoenix.com - the primary source of information on all Phoenix Athletics.
In his new role role, Gavin assumed administrative oversight of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and serves as the sport administrator for women's soccer, men's golf and men's tennis.
Gavin serves as the primary media relations contact for men's basketball, women's soccer and men's and women's golf, handling media requests for the programs' coaches and student-athletes. He oversees the video content of GreenBayPhoenix.com, including serving as the director of the site's Inside Phoenix Basketball, a live weekly basketball coaches show, and as the host of Extra Time with Trevor Warren, a weekly women's soccer show, and the Tuesday Timeout presented by Prevea Health.
In 2012-13, Gavin assumed the role of chair of the Horizon League Sports Information Director's Committee.
While traveling with the men's basketball team, Gavin serves as the color radio analyst for the program's road games. He has also handled color analyst duties for select games televised on Time Warner Cable Sports32.
Prior to coming to Green Bay, Gavin worked for two years (2008-10) as an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications for the University of Central Florida, where he was the primary media contact for women's basketball and a secondary contact for the school's football program.
He also worked previously as the Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of South Carolina Aiken (2006-08). While in Aiken, Gavin was the media relations contact for a nationally-ranked men's basketball program.
Gavin is a 2006 graduate of Centre College in Danville, Ky., where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Government. Gavin was a two-year member of the men's basketball team and president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon in his time at Centre.
