PEORIA, Ill. ( – The men’s and women’s cross country teams were in Peoria, Ill., this afternoon for the Bradley ‘Pink' Classic. The men competed in an 8k for the third time this season, while the women covered a 6k course for the first time this year. The men’s squad saw five finishers cover the course in less than 28 minutes, collecting them a 21st-place finish out of the 26 teams. The Phoenix women performed well in the first 6k of the season, collecting a 26th-place finish out of the 30 participating teams.

Mitchell Bilitz led the Phoenix once again with a 57th-place finish and posted a career-best mark of 25:02 , fourteen seconds better than his performance in the five-mile race at Notre Dame two weeks ago. Eric Bilitz was the other lone men’s finisher under 27 minutes, crossing the line in 26:15 in 164th place.
