GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men’s soccer team saw its first action of the 2016 season at Aldo Santaga Stadium this afternoon, welcoming Fort Wayne for a 4 p.m. kickoff. The Mastodons found the back of the Phoenix net in the 28th and 53rd minutes to own a two-goal advantage, but the Phoenix attempted to rally late as Andre Baires buried the first goal of his career in the 86th minute to cut the deficit in half. Green Bay continued to attack but was unable to find the equalizer before time expired.

The Phoenix owned advantages in shots on goal (4-3) and corner kicks (6-3).
