Green Bay Athletics Joins Hands with Inspire Sports
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – This past Saturday, a group of forty Green Bay student-athletes teamed up with Inspire Sports of Wisconsin for a fun day at the Kress Events Center. The event was hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
“We were very excited to welcome Inspire Sports back to the UW-Green Bay campus for the third-straight year,” said Kassie Batchelor, Assistant AD for Compliance and Student Welfare. “This is always an exciting day for our student-athletes and one they look forward to every year. I'm quite proud of the student-athletes we have on this campus and the values uphold.”
The Phoenix student-athletes welcomed around thirty kids from Inspire Sports. The student-athletes worked with the kids on their basketball skills while also working on their social skills. They worked on passing, dribbling, shooting and then did group activities to work on teamwork. Each participant had an opportunity to learn about each other's likes and dislikes.
