Women's Tennis Drops Conference Opener to Oakland

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women’s tennis team (1-10) began its Horizon League regular season slate on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 7-0 decision to Oakland (8-4) at Western Racquet & Fitness Club. 

The Phoenix’s No. 1 doubles pair of Jule-Sophie Hermann and Samm Pedersen picked up a 6-4 win; however, the Golden Grizzlies ultimately took the doubles point and proceeded to sweep all six singles matches.


Green Bay will return to the court tomorrow morning, when it hosts the Detroit Titans (1-5) at 10:00 a.m.

2. Elizabeth Guy (OAK) def. Stephanie Londre (GB) 6-0, 6-1
