Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Gives Back
The student-athlete advisory committee aka SAAC is winding down another successful year of giving back to the Green Bay community. President Alex Hallam and Vice President Paul Choudoir have done a great job leading SAAC. The staple event this year for SAAC was the 1st annual Green Bay Phoenix Specialy Olympics Basketball Invite. The event put on by SAAC was a great experience for not only the participating Special Olympians, but also the Green Bay student-athletes. Along with the Phoenix Invite, SAAC members also lent a helping hand with the Phoenix Fan Fest, two Red Cross blood drives, and the women's basketball game teddy bear drive.
"The mission of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.”
A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.
Congratulations to all SAAC members on another successful year and thank you for all your hard work.
