Nordic Skiing to Host Phoenix Arboretum 5-Mile Race

The Phoenix Arboretum 5-Mile race will be held at 9 a.m. on Nov. 6.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - The Green Bay men's and women's Nordic skiing teams will be hosting a 5-mile off road running race, as well as a free ski clinic on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. at the Kress Events Center on the UW-Green Bay campus. The Phoenix Arboretum 5-Mile will serve as a fundraiser for the Phoenix Nordic skiing programs.

Cost of registration is $15 before Oct. 20 or $25 on the day of the race. The first 100 entrants will receive a free race t-shirt and awards will be given to top overall and age group finishers. Click here for more registration information.

The race will begin in front of the Kress Events Center and wind through the Cofrin Memorial Arboretum trails that encircle campus. The free ski clinic will begin at 1 p.m. in the Special Events Room of the Kress Center. Participants are encouraged to bring their skate roller skis.
