GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - The Green Bay women's soccer team (1-4-0) will play its first home game since mid-August at 7 p.m. Friday in a battle with Michigan Tech at Aldo Santaga Stadium. It will be the first all-time meeting between the two schools.

The Phoenix is coming off a 1-1 finish at the SIU Edwardsville tournament, where it opened with a 1-0 victory over Northern Iowa. Senior Megan Braatz scored the lone goal in the contest on a cross from the left side as the Phoenix outshot UNI 8-5. Green Bay held the shooting advantage in game two against UM-Kansas City, but fell 2-0.

Michigan Tech (1-1-0) opened the season with a 1-0 win over Minnesota-Crookston Sept. 1. The Huskies make their inaugural trip to Santaga Stadium following a 3-2 overtime loss to Bemidji State Sept. 2.

Following Friday's game, Green Bay will face South Dakota at noon Sunday. After a 10-day break, Green Bay will return to action Sept. 19 in Normal, Ill. and face Illinois State.

Green Bay will open Horizon League play at home against Detroit Sept. 22.
