MILWAUKEE, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams saw their impressive winning streaks come to an end on Saturday afternoon, as both squads fell to Milwaukee in Horizon League dual-meet action at the Klotsche Natatorium.

The Phoenix women (9-1) lost their first dual meet of 2013-14, falling to the Panthers 158-79, while the men’s squad (5-3) had its streak of five-straight dual wins snapped with a 145-96 defeat.

Senior diver Carrie Dinelli (Northbrook, Ill.) had a standout day on the boards for the Phoenix, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions. Dinelli first posted her career-best score of 286.87 in a win on the high board, and then went on to claim the 1-meter event with a 252 total. Her 3-meter score also qualified her for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.

Junior Ryan Korslin (Rudolph, Wis.) was a two-time winner on the men’s side. He first teamed up with Evan Hill (Jefferson, Wis.), Robert Miner (Madison, Wis.) and Cole Hackney (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) for a victory in the 400 medley relay (3:28.14), and also won the 100-yard breaststroke in 57.59.

Other winners for the Phoenix men were junior Casey Murphy (Sun Prairie, Wis.) in the 50 free (21.64) and sophomore Willem Poelmans (Hasselt, Belgium) in the 200 IM (1:52.15).

Green Bay returns home this Saturday when it hosts Wisconsin at 11 a.m. for its final home event of the season.
