Women's Soccer Takes on Detroit on Saturday

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women’s soccer team continues its Horizon League slate on Saturday, traveling to Detroit to take on the Titans at noon. The game is the opener for a women’s/men’s doubleheader for Detroit. 

Saturday’s match will be the 24th all-time meeting, with the Titans owning an 18-2-3 advantage in the all-time series. Green Bay’s last win in the series came on October 26, 2008 (2-1) at home.

Green Bay enters the weekend all even at 4-4-4. The Phoenix has been strong at home going 4-1-1, but will look to earn its first road win of the season where it is 0-3-3 this year. 

As a team this season Green Bay is outshooting its opponents, 166-124, including 69-55 on goal. Hannah Kernen (Belleville, Wis.) leads the team with three goals, while Heidi Hartmann (Plymouth, Minn.) and Hekla Palmadottir (Akranes, Iceland) are atop the team leaderboard with seven points (2g, 3a).

In net, Nastacia Behle (St. Paul, Mo.) has appeared in 10 of the 12 matches this season, posting a 1.11 goals-against average and a .750 save percentage with three shutouts. Her GAA is third-best in the conference.

SCOUTING THE TITANS: Roster Schedule Stats
Detroit enters the weekend with an overall record of 6-6-1 and is winless in the Horizon League, 0-2-0. It is the first home conference game for the Titans after they dropped decisions at Cleveland State (2-0) and Milwaukee (2-1).

Alyssa Riley leads the team with 15 points on six goals and three assists and Alyssa Lotito has a team-best eight assists. In net Martha Dunbar has started 11 of the 13 matches this season, recording a 1.48 goals-against average and a .767 save percentage.
