GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay senior Alec Brown (Winona, Minn.), a two-time All-Horizon League performer, has been selected to participate in the 2013 adidas Nations Basketball Experience, held in Orange County, Calif. from August 1-5 at Next Level Sports.

Brown will be among 30 collegians participating as counselors at the event, which pits several of the nation's top high school prospects against teams from Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. In addition to his duties as counselor, Brown and the other college players will compete against each other in scrimmages.

Entering his senior season, the 7-foot-1 Brown is the only player in the country that has accumulated more than 1,200 points, 600 rebounds and 200 blocked shots in his career. Green Bay’s all-time leader in blocked shots sits 15th on the program’s scoring chart with 1,218 points.

During his time at adidas Nations, Brown will provide on-court coaching and training, as well as off-court instruction on nutrition, leadership, discipline, philanthropy and global interactions.

Sixteen players selected in the 2013 NBA Draft had been a part of the adidas Nations experience. To see a list of the 2012 adidas Nations college counselors, click here.
