BOARDMAN, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - The Green Bay men's tennis team remained unbeaten in Horizon League play on Friday night with a 4-3 victory over Youngstown State (7-8, 2-1 Horizon League) at the Boardman Tennis Center. The Phoenix won the doubles point and split the singles contests to improve to 14-5 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

Green Bay opened the night by taking two of the three doubles contests to secure the match's first point. Phoenix juniors Craig Cox (Surrey, England) and Erik Finkenbrink (Duelman, Germany) teamed up at the No. 1 spot to defeat the Youngstown duo of Tariq Ismail and Dawoud Kabli 8-5, while freshmen Michael Tenzer (Neuried, Germany) and Michael Tebon (Excelsior, Minn.) paired up for the first time this season for an 8-3 win over Max Schmerin and Rodrigo Campos at No. 2.

Phoenix senior Paul Swanson (Coon Rapids, Minn.) - the reigning Horizon League Player of the Week - continued his strong run of play by picking up a dominating 6-2, 6-0 win over Tariq Ismail at the No. 1 singles spot. Green Bay also picked up straight-set wins at No. 3 and No. 4, as Finkenbrink knocked off Kabli 6-3, 6-4 (No. 3) and Cox cruised past Schmerin 6-3, 6-2 (No. 4).

Each of Green Bay's losses in singles play was decided in three sets.
