GREEN BAY, Wis. ( - The most decorated player in Green Bay women's basketball history is headed back to the pros. Julie Wojta, who wrapped up her outstanding career with the Phoenix during the 2011-12 campaign, has been added to the San Antonio Silver Stars training camp roster, the WNBA franchise announced earlier this week.

The deal marks the third time Wojta has found herself in the WNBA since graduating in May 2012. She was invited to the 2012 WNBA Draft, where she was selected in the second round as the 18th overall pick by the Minnesota Lynx. With only one open roster spot and a handful of new players, Wojta was released by the Lynx prior to the 2012 regular season despite impressing the team's coaching staff during the preseason.

In two WNBA exhibition games last season, Wojta averaged 14 minutes per contest, shot 50 percent from the field, and scored nine total points and grabbed nine total rebounds.

When injury struck Minnesota last July, Wojta was signed to a seven-day contract taking the Lynx to the WNBA's month-long break for the 2012 Olympics. In her lone appearance, Minnesota defeated Tulsa in an 89-74 road contest. Wojta played four minutes, grabbing two rebounds.

After her short-term deal with the Lynx expired, Wojta headed to Europe to play for Belgium's Belfius Namur. She's made her name known this season, averaging 16.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.

Wojta graduated last year as the most decorated player in Green Bay women's basketball history with a resume packed with awards and recognition. During her senior campaign alone, Wojta earned Horizon League Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors, was one of five finalists for the John R. Wooden Award, was an AP Second Team All-American and Naismith and Wade Trophy finalist, just to name a few.

In addition to Wojta, San Antonio also offered a training camp contract to Yvonne Turner, a decorated 2010 graduate of Nebraska. The Silver Stars open the 2013 season on May 24 at home against the reigning WNBA Champions, Indiana.
