GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - The Green Bay men's and women's golf teams will open their 2012-13 season at home over the next three days with two events at Green Bay Country Club. The Phoenix women will host Loyola on Sunday in a dual match before hosting the 36-hole Green Bay Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The men's team will host Chicago State and St. Norbert on Sunday afternoon prior to Monday's start of the home invitational.

Play on Monday and Tuesday will get underway at 8:30 a.m. at Green Bay Country Club. The men will play the 7,097-yard course as a par-72 while the women will play a 5,898-yard course as a par-73.

Senior Chad Ebert (Kenosha, Wis.) leads the Phoenix men into the season after compiling one of the best seasons in program history as a junior. Ebert won the individual title at the 2012 Horizon League Championships to earn a spot in the NCAA Regional Championships last May. Fellow senior Cam Fuller (Sturgeon Bay, Wis.) also returns after finishing as the runner-up to Ebert at the league championship.

Head coach Bill Lindmark's experienced group also welcomes back the other three players from the second-place Horizon League Championship team - Dan Ozga (Edgerton, Wis.), Tyler Schmidt (Jefferson, Wis.) and Sam Weber (Heartland, Wis.).

On the women's side, Lucas Hana's team is paced by its lone senior, Christina De Boer (Onalaska, Wis.). Juniors Grace Abitz (Appleton, Wis.) and Jacki Johnson (Neenah, Wis.) and sophomore Renee Christensen (Greenleaf, Wis.) also return. Four freshmen - Sammi Grunder (Pardeeville, Wis.), Steph Laude (Slinger, Wis.), Katie Pokrandt (Eau Claire, Wis.) and Lexi Wilson (Marinette, Wis.) - will add depth for the Phoenix.
