Phoenix Hosts Wisconsin Wednesday at 7 p.m.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - With two consecutive wins over previously ranked soccer programs in Tulsa and Butler, the Green Bay (6-5-1, 2-2-0) men's soccer team looks to make it three wins in a row as it hosts in-state rival Wisconsin (7-4-2, 3-0-0) Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Aldo Santaga Stadium. Time Warner Cable Sports32 will be on hand to tape the game for broadcast Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
Both teams enter Wednesday's contest with two consecutive wins. Green Bay came from behind on the road to beat Tulsa 3-2 on Oct. 8 before shutting out Butler 1-0 Oct. 15 on its home field. Wisconsin picked up back to back wins against Big Ten opponents Michigan and Michigan State with 2-1 and 1-0 wins respectively.
Green Bay is being led in scoring by senior Tony Walls (Wauwatosa, Wis.) who has four goals and four assists on the season while classmate Stuart Grable (Neenah, Wis.) leads the Phoenix with five assists. Kirby Allen (Appleton, Wis.) has become a strong asset for Green Bay as the freshman has tallied three goals, one being a game-winning double overtime goal against Dayton Sept. 18 in the Green Bay Soccer Classic.
The Badgers are led by junior Tomislav Zadro with four goals, seven assists and 23 shots while sophomore Chris Prince has chipped in four goals and one assist throughout 13 contests.
THE SERIES: Green Bay owns a 20-18-1 record against Wisconsin, picking up wins the past two seasons. The Phoenix is 10-7-1 when hosting the Badgers at Aldo Santaga Stadium.
NATIONAL RANKINGS: As a team, Green Bay's 5.17 saves per game is ranked 30th in the nation among 200 teams while goalie Ryan Wehking (St. Louis, Mo.) ranks 51st among 150 players with 4.36 saves per game. Grable's five assists per game and 0.42 average assist per game ranks 50th in the nation.
Wisconsin, who ranks fifth in the NCAA Great Lakes regional rankings, is 49th in the country in won-lost-tied percentage. Individually, Zadro's seven assists ranks eighth in the nation while his 0.54 assists per game ranks 12th.
In the NCAA RPI rankings, Wisconsin is No. 22 while the Phoenix has an RPI ranking of 104.
