GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men’s soccer team takes to the road again on Saturday, traveling to Dayton to face Wright State in Horizon League competition.

The Phoenix is 7-4-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference this season, good for the fourth spot in the Horizon standings. Green Bay ended a two game skid with a 2-0 triumph over Detroit last Saturday at Santaga Stadium.

Green Bay leads the all-time series against the Raiders, 15-11-1. The series has been a streaky one, with the Phoenix winning three consecutive from 1999-2000, the Raiders winning four consecutive from 2001-2003, a string of seven unbeaten for the Phoenix from 2004-10, and Wright State claiming the last three meetings.

As a team, Green Bay ranks second in the Horizon League with 25 goals for the season. Sam Krenzien (Wauwatosa, Wis.) leads the conference with 22 points and is tied atop of the Horizon League with nine goals. Those marks help him rank nationally in several categories, including total points (13th), total goals (15th), points per game (1.57, 16th) and goals per game (0.64, 21st). Lawrence Talery (Coon Rapids, Minn.) has a team-best five assists, good for third in the conference.

In net, Kyle Ihn (Wales, Wis.) has appeared in 11 of 14 matches for the Phoenix, posting a 1.81 goals-against average and a .701 save percentage. Also in the defensive third, Brandon Hall (O’Fallon, Mo.) helped the Phoenix post a shutout and also netted the game winner against Detroit en route to being named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS: Roster Schedule Stats
Wright State enters the weekend 3-8-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the conference. After starting the month of October with a win against IUPUI the Raiders have gone winless since, dropping four consecutive matches. The squads’ last two matches have been decided in double overtime, including a 1-0 non-conference loss to Bowling Green on Tuesday.

Brett Elder leads the team with 13 points on six goals and one assist, while teammate Eric Lynch has a team best six assists, good for second in the Horizon League. Tyler Blackmer has started the last seven matches and appeared in eight total matches for the Raiders, posting a 1.41 goals-against average with a .766 save percentage.
