Women's Golf Concludes Fall Season with Dayton Invitational

KETTERING, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women’s golf team concluded the fall portion of its schedule on Tuesday at the Dayton Fall Invitational held at NCR Country Club. Sophomore Katie Pokrandt (Eau Claire, Wis.) led the Phoenix in the 36-hole event featuring an 18-team field.
Green Bay shot 340 in the opening round on the par-70, 5,872-yard course and followed that up with a round of 341 on Tuesday. Detroit won the event with Evansville, Dayton, Chicago State and Marshall rounding out the top-five.
Pokrandt opened with a round of 80 on Monday and carded an 84 on Tuesday to lead Green Bay and finish in a tie for 49th place. Freshman Avery Steen (Luck, Wis.) and sophomore Sammi Grunder (Pardeeville, Wis.) tied for 77th place while Steph Laude (Slinger, Wis.) ranked 86th and freshman Sierah Gurske (Brookfield, Wis.) finished tied for 90th.
