Phoenix in the Lead After Day Two of House of Champions Invite

Green Bay returns to action on Sunday for the final day of the House of Champions Invitational.

INDIANAPOLIS ( - The Green Bay swimming and diving teams wrapped up the second day of competition at the three-day House of Champions Invitational on Saturday at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis. Both Phoenix teams finished day two in first place, as the women lead the seven-team field with 1,274 points and the men are first among five teams with 1,294 points.

The Phoenix squads are competing against opponents from host IUPUI, Ball State, Butler, Eastern Illinois, Evansville and Western Illinois.

Green Bay got off to a strong start on Friday, as the women's team had a winner in four of the five races, and the men's team won three times.

Heather Bodin (Maple Grove, Minn.) and Parker Wolf (Kohler, Wis.) were both two-time winners for the Phoenix women on Friday. Bodin took the 200-yard IM in 2:04.75 and Wolf claimed the 50 freestyle in 23.82 before the two teamed up with Dana Iverson (Kenosha, Wis.) and Marlee Kiander (Tomahawk, Wis.) for a win in the 400 medley relay (3:50.13).

Kendra Rottier (Green Bay, Wis.) also picked up an individual victory on the meet's opening day, cruising to a first-place finish in the 500 free in a season-best time of 4:58.24.

Cole Hackney (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) earned an individual win for the Phoenix men on Friday, taking the 50 free in 21.39, while Green Bay also raced to victory in both the 200 free (1:25.51) and 400 medley (3:29.38) relays.

Saturday saw the Phoenix men win four more times, including in the 200 medley (1:33.42) and 800 free (7:02.01) relay races. Green Bay also won twice individually on day two, as Ryan Korslin (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) took the 100 breast in 57.34 and Matt Hollub (Appleton, Wis.) claimed the 100 back in 52.01.

Iverson was victorious for the women's squad on Saturday, taking the 100 back in 56.56, while teammate Megan Burley (Hazelhurst, Wis.) touched in first in the 400 IM (4:28.29). Green Bay also picked up a relay win on the second day of the meet, taking the 800 free relay in 7:37.69.

The Phoenix squads return to action on Sunday for the third and final day of competition at the House of Champions Invitational. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. CT, with finals starting at 4 p.m. CT.
