Rivera and Quilling Selected to Attend NCAA Sports Forum
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Green Bay juniors Alli Rivera (Geneseo, Ill.) and Hannah Quilling (Eau Claire, Wis.) are two of 303 student-athletes who have been selected to attend the 2011 NCAA Career in Sports Forum held June 12-15 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 12-member selection committee chose Rivera and Quilling from a pool of 1,100 student-athlete nominations and 850 completed applicants.
Rivera recently completed her junior campaign with the softball team, leading the Phoenix with 45 hits and 33 RBIs while being named to the Horizon League First Team All-League. Rivera is majoring in Public Relations and International Business. A Human Biology major with an emphasis in Health Science, Quilling started 20 games for the Green Bay women's basketball team, helping the Phoenix advance to the Sweet 16 of the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
Rivera and Quilling are two of 14 student-athletes from the Horizon League selected to participate in the forum. Personally the student-athletes participating in the forum will develop actionable plans for personal growth and development. Organizationally participants will benefit from the opportunity to network with key decision makers from member institutions and the NCAA.Student-athletes were selected to participate in 10 sport-specific coaching tracks and one administration track while attending the forum.
