IOWA CITY, Iowa (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - The Green Bay men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up their participation in the Iowa Hawkeye Invitational on Sunday at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Pool in Iowa City, Iowa. Both Phoenix squads finished in sixth place, with a pair of school-record performances highlighting the three-day meet.

Sophomore Kendra Rottier (Green Bay, Wis.) capped off an outstanding three days by shattering the Green Bay school record in the 200-yard butterfly. Rottier qualified for finals in the event with a time of 2:02.81, beating Sarah Ciganek's 2004 time of 2:04.54. The seven-year-old mark was the oldest record in the women's team's record book.

Rottier came back and finished fourth in the 200 butterfly finals (2:03.07), the highest placing of any Green Bay swimmer in the three-day meet.

Rottier also turned in a strong performance in the 200 backstroke on Sunday, placing 11th with a time of 2:01.65 - the second-fasted time in school history. Freshman Dana Iverson (Kenosha, Wis.) finished close behind Rottier in 13th, touching in at 2:03.89.

Men's diver Daniel Pogue (Chisholm, Minn.) took home a school record of his own from Iowa City, breaking his own mark in the 1-meter event with a second-place finish on Saturday. Pogue posted a monster score of 366.15, blowing away his record of 339.90 from a season ago.

"I have seen Danny perform like this, but not on this big of a stage and under this kind of extreme pressure," Phoenix diving coach Tom Stover said. "He has put in the work necessary for this, so it was doubly satisfying for us to see him enjoy this outcome. It was absolutely a phenomenal performance."
