Pogue Named Horizon League Diver of the Week

Pogue has been named conference diver of the week 10 times in his career.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Green Bay junior diver Daniel Pogue (Chisholm, Minn.) has once again been tabbed as the Horizon League's Men's Diver of the Week for the period of Jan. 18-24, the conference office announced Tuesday. It is Pogue's fifth award of the 2010-11 season and 10th of his Phoenix career.

Pogue earned a personal best score of 340.05 in winning the 3-meter dive on Saturday (Jan. 22) against Wisconsin. His score was the highest score ever recorded at Green Bay's Dorschel Natatorium. He also earned a second-place total of 281.48 in the 1-meter competition against the Badgers, along with scores of 291.08 and 308.40 in winning efforts against Western Illinois on Friday (Jan. 21).

The Phoenix men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back in action this Saturday as the women host Youngstown State, Illinois State and IIT at noon, while the men's squad welcomes IIT at 4 p.m.
