GREEN BAY, Wis. ( – The Green Bay swimming teams picked up convincing home victories over Horizon League foe Valparaiso on Friday night, as the Phoenix men and women combined to have a winner in all 22 races at the Peter F. Dorschel Natatorium.

The Green Bay women defeated the Crusaders 119-78 to improve to a perfect 7-0 in dual meets this season and 16-0 when including invitationals. The men’s squad won 122-79 to record its fourth straight dual meet triumph, improving to 4-2 on the year.

Reigning Horizon League Swimmer of the Week Parker Wolf (Kohler, Wis.) once again paced the Phoenix women, tallying three total wins on Friday. Wolf got the meet started by leading off the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:49.74) before taking home solo wins in the 200 freestyle (1:54.19) and the 100 backstroke (1:00.23).

Natalie Neuwirth (Stevens Point, Wis.) was also responsible for three wins, as the freshman joined Wolf on the 200 medley relay and then led off the victorious 200 free relay (1:39.51) in the meet’s final event. Neuwirth also nabbed an individual win in the 500 freestyle (5:07.03).

Additional winners on the women’s side were Kendra Rottier (Green Bay, Wis.) in the 1000 free (10:46.79), Claire Friederick (Lancaster, Wis.) in the 50 free (24.99), Autumn Roepsch (Dubuque, Iowa) in the 200 IM (2:14.12), Alyssa Udean (Lino Lakes, Minn.) in the 100 butterfly (59.38), Racheal Weiland (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) in the 100 free (53.93) and Danielle Marcusen (Green Bay, Wis.) in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.71).

Sophomore Willem Poelmans (Hasselt, Belgium) won two individual events for the Phoenix men, claiming both the 200 IM (1:54.66) and the 100 breaststroke (58.87).

Evan Hill (Jefferson, Wis.), Ryan Korslin (Rudolph, Wis.), Cole Hackney (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Ben Loeffelholz (Dubuque, Iowa) were also two-time winners for the Green Bay men, as the quartet first teamed up for a win in the meet-opening 200 medley relay (1:33.86). Loeffelholz then went on to win the 200 free (1:47.44), Hill won the 50 free (21.76) and Hackney cruised to a victory in the 100 butterfly (52.10). Korslin’s second win came in the final race of the night, as he swam the third leg of the 200 free relay (1:27.85).

Joining Korslin on the winning 200 free relay team were Robert Miner (Madison, Wis.), Alex Jenness (Prior Lake, Minn.) and Connor Andrew (Denver, Colo.). Miner and Andrew also grabbed individual wins on Friday night, as Miner took the 100 back in 53.47 and Andrew won the 500 free in 4:48.83.

Green Bay’s other two wins of the evening came from junior Casey Murphy (Sun Prairie, Wis.) in the 100 free (48.27) and sophomore Connor Huff (Dubuque, Iowa) in the 1000 free (9:53.81).

Neither Valparaiso squad participated in diving events.

Green Bay is back in action tomorrow at noon, hosting IUPUI at the Dorschel Natatorium. The Phoenix women won the eight-team IUPUI House of Champions Invitational earlier this season (Nov. 22-24), while the men’s squad placed second to the host Jaguars in Indianapolis.
