GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay men’s basketball junior Alfonzo McKinnie (Chicago, Ill.) will be sidelined indefinitely after successful meniscus surgery was performed on his right knee, head coach Brian Wardle announced on Thursday. Wardle indicated that the program hoped to have the 6-foot-8 junior back in the lineup in four to six weeks, but that McKinnie would not return until he is 100 percent.

“Alfonzo’s surgery went well and he has already gotten the rehab process underway,” said Wardle. “We expect this will only be a minor setback for Alfonzo, but we will be very conservative and diligent with the process. He is going to be a major part of our team this season, and we look forward to getting him back on the court with his teammates.”
