The last rodeo, the grand finale, one last hoorah; all ways my family and friends (especially my dad :D) have been reminding me that this is my final spring season, the last few months of volleyball, ever! A strange feeling takes over when I am reminded of that. As much as my body will appreciate some rest and I am looking forward to entering a new stage in life; I can't help but to think of all we want to accomplish in these final months, and how difficult it is to picture a schedule without practices, weightlifting, and matches filling the majority of it.
The past few weeks of spring training have flown by, I cannot believe tournaments are right around the corner, and we are all excited to compete with someone besides our own teammates! But at the same time, I want to soak up every second of my last rodeo. As cliché as it sounds, I want to feel every swing, sprint, and dead lift rep. I want to make the most of the time I spend with teammates, and really crack open each of the freshmen -- I know there are more quirky habits to be discovered!
With the end quickly approaching, I've been given a new perspective and appreciation for the little things that come with being a part of GBVB, even having Coach record our "not so finest moments" in the weight room! I'll be ready for whatever God has planned next, but for now I want to relish in every moment of GBVB, and help take this program where it has never been in 2011!
