GREEN BAY, Wis. ( - The Green Bay volleyball team will not only welcome Loyola (4-17, 1-10 HL) to the Kress Events Center on Friday night, the Phoenix will also welcome numerous alums that played for the program. The Phoenix (9-14, 5-6 HL) hosts the Ramblers at 7 p.m. for Alumni Night as the team looks to get back to .500 in league play.

The night could also see Green Bay junior Brittany Groth (Oak Creek, Wis.) surpass the 1,000 dig plateau for her career. She has 990 career digs, including 984 in the past two seasons. The libero continues to lead the Horizon League and is 21st nationally in digs per set.

The Phoenix enters the contest after a thrilling 3-2 win on the road at Valparaiso last Saturday. In that match, Green Bay trailed 9-3 and 12-7 in the fifth set before rallying for a win that snapped the team's three-match losing streak. Junior Carmen Leitermann (Schofield, Wis.) had 19 kills and just two errors in the victory over the Crusaders.

Loyola stepped away from Horizon League play this week, dropping a non-conference match at Bradley 3-0 on Tuesday. The Ramblers have lost six matches in a row since in a win over Wright State on Oct. 9.
