GREEN BAY, Wis. ( - After winning three-straight matches during a recent road trip, the Green Bay volleyball team will return home Friday to host UIC in its regular-season finale at the Kress Events Center at 7 p.m. Head coach Debbie Kirch and the Phoenix will honor lone senior Whitney Schott (Roscoe, Ill.) during Senior Night ceremonies after the match.

After three consecutive victories, Green Bay has a chance to even its Horizon League record at 8-8 and claim the fifth seed in next week's conference tournament with a victory against the Flames.

In last Friday's match against Butler, the Phoenix dealt the Bulldogs their second conference loss of the season. Freshman Lyndsay Zakowicz (Oak Creek, Wis.) led Green Bay with 17 kills in the match while Schott dished out 54 assists.

The Phoenix backed up that victory the next day, downing Wright State in three sets behind a school-record tying 26 digs from sophomore Brittany Groth (Oak Creek, Wis.). Groth's dig total tied current Sarah Rauen for the most digs in a three-set match.

For Schott's 87-assist week, she was named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, becoming the third Green Bay player this season to earn a weekly award from the league.
