Green Bay Softball Adds Marjorie Sloan to 2018 Roster
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Head coach Scott Wachholz and the Green Bay softball program added another named to its incoming recruiting class on Monday morning, as the squad welcomes Morjorie Sloan to the 2018 Phoenix roster.
"We are extremely excited by the addition of Marjorie to our 2017 class," Wachholz said. "She will bring needed experience to the outfield and has the ability to play all three positions. When it comes to the offensive side of the ball she is definitely a tactician of the game, which will help her to continue to evolve at this level."
Sloan joins the incoming class of Alexis Kinnaird (Tiffin, Iowa), Crystal Guzman (St. John, Ind.), Elizabeth Pautz (Pulaski, Wis.), Morgan Bihun (Schaumburg, Ill.), Kayla Schwebke (Rosendale, Wis.) and Jillian Foote (Antioch, Ill.), all of which signed with the Phoenix this past fall.
Sloan on Green Bay: Green Bay provides the opportunity to pursue my degree and compete at the highest level in the challenging Horizon League all while staying close to my roots. I love the supportive and energetic atmosphere of the softball program and the entire University as a whole. It takes a certain kind of student-athlete to play high-level college softball in the upper Midwest. It's the perfect fit for me.###
