Men's Golf Concludes Play at Big Blue Invitational in Tennessee

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. ( – The Green Bay men’s golf team competed in the Big Blue Invitational hosted by Tennessee State University on Monday and Tuesday, finishing ninth overall after three rounds at the Hermitage Golf Club Presidents Reserve. The Phoenix played its best in the final round, shooting 300 as a team which was the third-best score among the 13-team field on the final day.

Jimmy Albright finished 7-over par and in a tie for 10th place. The junior shot a 1-over par 73 in the final round, improving four positions on Tuesday.

Senior Joe Du Chateau was the only golfer to shoot even par or better in any round for Green Bay in the tournament. Du Chateau shot a an even-par 72 in the final round, finishing in a tie for 29th place overall after finishing 14-over par.

UT-Martin won the team trophy, finishing 16-over par (880). Detroit Mercy came in second at 23-over par (887).

The Phoenix will now set its sights on the Horizon League Championships in Orlando, Fla., on April 23-25. The championship will be held at the Mission Inn - El Campeon Course.
