Green Bay Swimming and Diving Announces 2017 Summer Camps
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay Phoenix swimming program will be hosting two swimming camps in June (13-17, 19-23) at the Peter F. Dorschel Natatorium inside the Kress Events Center on the Green Bay campus.
The camp staff includes Green Bay head coach Reed Robelot, assistant coach Tara Dowling, as well as current Phoenix student-athletes. The mission will be provide swimmers with top-tier coaching and technique assessment, while instilling a growing confidence and passion for the sport of swimming.
This year the Phoenix Swim Camp has expanded to a new five-day format. In addition to covering the four strokes with daily discussion sessions, we also demonstrate and instill proper technique through specific drills to help achieve peak form. The two-hour water sessions, packed full of individual instruction, follow a slower pace that allow key details to be emphasized and rehearsed. Over the course of the week, we also teach the most up-to-date starts, turns and breakouts.
Camps are open to any and all entrants. Space will be limited to 70 participants on a first come, first serve basis.
A discount will be given for multiple swimmers in one family (see registration form above). Please make checks payable to UW-Green Bay Swimming.
