MADISON, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's soccer team took a break from Horizon League play this afternoon for a matchup with in-state rival Wisconsin at the McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison, Wis. The Badgers, fresh off a draw over No. 21 Michigan State, jumped out to an early lead over the Phoenix in the 23rd minute when Christopher Mueller found the back of the net on a free kick from the top left corner.

Wisconsin added two more goals in the match and held the Phoenix scoreless to earn a 3-0 victory and extend its unbeaten streak to five matches.

Green Bay will now return home and focus on league play, as the Phoenix welcomes Valparaiso to Aldo Santaga Stadium on Saturday night at 7 p.m. for Camper Appreciation Night.
