Fulton Granted Release from Men's Basketball Program
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay men’s basketball head coach Brian Wardle announced today that Lamin Fulton (Philadelphia, Pa.), who completed his junior season with the Phoenix in 2013-14, has been granted his release from the program.
“We appreciate the year that Lamin spent in Green Bay and his contributions to our successful 2013-14 season on and off the floor,” Wardle said. “We preach family first in our program, and we wish Lamin well as he looks for a place closer to home to finish his career while helping his family.”
Fulton transferred to Green Bay from Northwest Community College in Florida and helped the Phoenix to a 24-7 overall record and a 14-2 mark in league play en route to a Horizon League regular season title. The 5-foot-10 guard appeared in 29 games, starting five times. Fulton averaged 2.3 points and 10.7 minutes per game.
“I appreciated my time at Green Bay, and everything about it will be missed,” Fulton said. “I want to thank Coach Wardle and the rest of the coaching staff for giving me a great opportunity in a great program. I also thank my teammates who were there for me every step of the way with my decision. Those guys will truly be missed.”
