GREEN BAY, Wis. - Senior outside hitter Holly Visser (Waupun, Wis.) was named the Horizon League's Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, becoming the first Phoenix player to be honored by the league this season. It is the first-ever award for Visser, who ranks third on Green Bay's career kills list with 1,084. Last week, Visser led the league in kills per set (5.00) and ranked fourth in hitting percentage (.381). She recorded a Green Bay season-high 20 kills and also paced the squad with 17 digs in the team's 3-1 road win over Youngstown State. It was her 11th double-double of the campaign. Visser currently ranks among the league's top 10 in four statistical categories: aces (6th), points (8th), kills (9th) and digs (9th). Green Bay returns to action Friday night against Cleveland State. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at the Kress Center. --www.GreenBayPhoenix.com-- |
