GREEN BAY, Wis. ( - For the second-straight season, the Green Bay women's basketball team will return to a site it has played in recent years and open the NCAA Tournament as a road team. No. 20/20 Green Bay (29-2), the Horizon League regular season and tournament champion, received the No. 11 seed in the Spokane Region and will play at No. 6 seed LSU (20-11) in Baton Rouge, La., on Sunday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Green Bay, winners of 24-straight games, will be making its fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and its eighth appearance in 10 seasons overall under head coach Kevin Borseth. The program will be making its 14th all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Phoenix also opened the 2009 NCAA Tournament at LSU, falling to the Tigers 69-59 on March 22, 2009. In that contest, Green Bay was also seeded No. 11 and LSU was seeded sixth. The two teams also played in the second round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament, with the Lady Tigers winning 80-69.
