Green Bay Softball Releases Dates for Summer Camps
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Head coach Scott Wachholz and the Green Bay Phoenix softball team have announced the dates for the 2017 Summer Elite and Youth Camps. There will be two sessions of the elite camp available on June 20 and July 17, and one session of the youth camp on July 18.
The Elite Pitching Camp will focus on different spins, body positioning to effectively throw various movement and off speed pitches, drills to help increase velocity, spin, and movement, and continuous feedback. The all-skills session will take place from 1:30-5:00 p.m. with the pitching session to follow from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Elite hitting will include the basic fundamentals as well as advance hitting skills needed to be an elite hitter. Drills that will be taught will address bat control, bat speed, hand-eye coordination, and power. Base running will also be covered. Both elite camps are open to entrants 13 years and older.
The youth camp is open to entrants 7-12 years old and will include skilled instruction in the following areas: Throwing, Defense, and Hitting. It will incorporate the fundamentals, understanding, and execution of all major skills involved in the game. All instruction will be similar to that of the Green Bay Softball Team.
