GREEN BAY, Wis. ( – The Green Bay women’s basketball team had a full day at the Kress Events Center on Saturday afternoon, as the Phoenix welcomed Youngstown State for Senior, Alumni and Parents’ Day, as well as the annual PinkZone game. Green Bay was unmatched on the afternoon, dominating its way to a 75-41 victory.

The Penguins opened the day with a free throw to lead things 1-0 and that was the last lead it would see the remainder of the day, as Jessica Lindstrom buried a three-pointer shortly after and the Phoenix never looked back. Green Bay carried a six-point advantage into the second quarter after Sam Terry buried a triple as time expired to give Green Bay a 20-14 lead.

The Phoenix opened the game with a 13-2 run to lead things 34-16 after holding the Penguins to just 1-of-8 from the field start and forcing a trio of turnovers. Owning a 41-21 lead at halftime, Green Bay had seemingly taken control with no intentions of losing it.

The Phoenix worked its way to a 75-41 victory on the afternoon and claimed its 12th victory of the season in Horizon League play.

Lindstrom led the way offensively for the Phoenix, scoring 14 points on a 5-of-6 effort from the field and grabbed seven rebounds in 26 minutes. Mehryn Kraker, who was honored prior to tipoff for breaking the program’s all-time three-pointers made record, scored 12 points on her Senior Day, doled out five assists and grabbed four rebounds in 24 minutes.

Lexi Weitzer added to the enjoyment of her Senior Day with a season-high 10 points while going 5-of-11 from the field and pulling down five rebounds, which brought her career total to over 300, in 19 minutes. Allie LeClaire also reached double figures in the outing, scoring 12 points and grabbing four rebounds in 25 minutes.

Sam Terry added three points to the Phoenix tally on the afternoon and surpassed the 300 rebounds mark after pulling down three in 21 minutes.

During the game, more than $11,000 was raised and will be donated to 'Ribbon of Hope' to help provide financial support to people that are currently battling breast cancer.

Green Bay will now gear up for its matchup with in-state rival Milwaukee on the road next Friday at 7 p.m.
