Adam Miller was named the Assistant AD for Development on April 1, 2014 by Director of Athletics Mary Ellen Gillespie. 

“The addition of Adam to our staff is a home run,” said Gillespie. “His proven track record in fundraising success will help take Phoenix athletics to the next level. He is a relationship builder and will make an immediate impact, which in turn will enhance the student-athlete experience at Green Bay. This is an exciting time for the Phoenix and Adam is the right person to guide our development efforts.”

Miller came to Green Bay from his alma mater, Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla. Since finishing his master’s degree in 2011, Miller has progressed and excelled in a variety of development positions. Most recently, Miller has served this academic year as the Director of Development for both the athletics department and Barney Barnett School of Business.

In his new role at Green Bay, Miller is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive advancement plan to increase both donors and gifts to the Phoenix Fund.

“I am thrilled to join the staff at Green Bay,” said Miller. “The athletics department has a passionate leader in Mary Ellen Gillespie and a talented staff that works hard to ensure a great experience for all of the Phoenix student-athletes and fans. Prior to his current role, Miller worked at Florida Southern as the Coordinator of the Annual Fund and Athletic Giving and the Assistant Director for Major and Athletic Giving.

During the 2012-13 academic year, Miller was part of a team that had the most successful fundraising year in the history of Florida Southern College.

Miller was a standout on and off the field during his time as a student-athlete at Florida Southern. While obtaining a 4.0 grade point average in the classroom in his undergraduate and graduate studies, Miller competed for the Mocs’ baseball team. He was named the Florida Southern Outstanding Scholar Athlete in 2009 and earned the Scholar Athlete Award for baseball in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

In 2009, Miller graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 2011, he obtained a master’s degree in business administration and finished first in a class of 142 students.
