Mike Davis is entering his second season as assistant coach for the Phoenix women's soccer program in 2014.

During the 2013 season, Green Bay held opponents to a 1.12 goals scored per game average, posting five shutouts while also limiting its competition to 0 or 1 goals in 13 of its 17 matches. Helping on the defense, then-freshman Katie Schulz was named to the Horizon League All-Newcomer team, while teammate Hannah Kernen collected first team all-conference honors. 

Prior to Green Bay, Davis was the graduate assistant coach at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, a top 30 NAIA program. He was also the assistant coach for the Women’s Premier Soccer League’s (WPSL) Quad City Eagles in 2013.

Prior to Ambrose, he played four years at Berry College in Rome, Ga. as a central defender. During his career, Berry went 54-13-6, including 15-1-1 in 2010. During his senior season ('10) Davis served as team captain and helped the defense post 13 shutouts including a 15-match unbeaten streak to end the year. At one point, the Vikings reeled off 10-consecutive shutouts and went over 950 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal while outscoring opponents 42-6. 

Prior to to coming to the US, Davis played at English Professional League 2 Club Macclesfield Town at U16 age, then Manchester County FA, and Manchester Colleges, competing in national cup competitions followed by semi professional soccer. In 2010, he played semi professionally in Australia's Brisbane Region Leagues helping win promotion and cup winners double. In the summer of 2011 he played at USL Premier Development League's London, Ontario, Canada's team Forest City London. In the summers of 2012 and 2013 David played for the NSPL’s Quad City Eagles.

Davis has earned the Football Association Level 1 and Level 2 in coaching awards as well as the NVQ level 2 in teaching soccer. In the summer of 2010 he earned the USSF National C License in Minnesota. Davis achieved the NSCAA Advanced National qualification in Boston in the summer of 2013 from which he was then asked to become an associate staff member to teach coaching courses.

Davis earned a bachelor of science degree in business management at Berry College and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at St. Ambrose.
