- The Green Bay women's soccer team has added three players to the roster for
the 2013 season, as Sydney Buss
(Appleton, Wis.), Brianna Messner
(Seymour, Wis.) and Katie Schulz
(Plymouth, Minn.) have all signed National Letters of Intent (NLIs) to play
collegiately for the Phoenix, head coach Trevor Warren announced.
Sydney Buss
Hometown: Appleton, Wis.
High School: Kimberly
Club Team: Appleton Goal Getters

- Three-time all-conference
- Won three state championships with the Appleton

- Named Fox11's Division I player of the year as a
junior

Coach Warren on
Sydney: "Sydney is an out-and-out ballplayer. When you're on the attack,
you want her to be involved, because she will make things happen. Sydney is a
versatile player and could play up front as an out and out striker or as an
attacking midfielder. She is a tireless worker on field on both sides of the
ball."
Brianna Messner
Hometown: Seymour, Wis.
High School: Seymour

Brianna: "Brianna is another local product whom we have seen play many
times for FC Green Bay and was an important member of the Wisconsin Olympic
Development Team that myself and Asst. Coach Niki Brooks worked with. Brianna
is another hard working player on both sides of the ball and has very good
soccer instincts. She is another versatile athlete and can play in the defense
and midfield."
Katie Schulz
Hometown: Plymouth, Minn.
High School: Wayzata
Club Team: Wayzata

Katie: "Katy is a quick, physically dominating, tenacious defender. She is
excellent in the air and certainly will be a threat on set plays. Katy is also
is a very vocal organizer of the defense which is a very important trait to
have. She brings a winners mentality having led Wayzata High School to back-to-back
state championships in Minnesota."
