GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - In the Green Bay men's basketball team's six victories in Horizon League play, there has been one constant for the Phoenix - rebounding. Including a 32-20 edge in its most recent game, a 73-65 victory at Loyola on Saturday, Green Bay has outrebounded its opponents in all six conference wins. Leading the league in scoring defense and rebounding has helped Green Bay enter this week's two game homestand in third place (6-4) in the Horizon League standings.

Freshman Jordan Fouse (Racine, Wis.) leads the Phoenix in rebounding (7.3/game) and has grabbed 10 boards per contest in the team's six league wins. In those six games, Green Bay's rebounding margin is plus-10.0 and the team's rebounding margin of plus-6.1 in league play ranks first.

Fouse ranks second in the Horizon League in rebounds per game, behind only reigning Player of the Year Ryan Broekhoff of Valparaiso. The 6-foot-7 Fouse, who grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds at Loyola on Saturday afternoon, has 169 on the season. He is on pace to break Dennis Woeffler's 44-year old program record for rebounds by a freshman (209), set in the program's first season of 1969-70.

Green Bay has been outrebounded in two of its four losses, including in its Horizon League opener, a 64-53 loss at Wright State on Jan. 3. The Raiders visit the Resch Center on Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest.

The Phoenix big men - junior Alec Brown (Winona, Minn.) and senior Brennan Cougill (Sioux City, Iowa) - have helped Fouse on the glass. Brown is fifth in the Horizon League in rebounds per game at 6.3 while Cougill is sixth at 6.1 boards per contest. Fouse (2.3/gm), Cougill (2.1) and Brown (2.0) are all in the top-5 in the conference in offensive rebounds per game.

Aside from hosting Wright State, Green Bay will also welcome Detroit to the Resch Center this week. The Titans visit on Saturday at 1 p.m. for a Festival Foods Family Game, with tickets starting at just $7 for youth and $8 for adults. The first 1,500 youth fans will receive a Phoenix replica jersey compliments of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board.
