Katie Pokrandt (Eau Claire, Wis.) shaved
10 strokes off her first round score and posted a 78 on Tuesday to lead the Green
Bay women's golf team at the Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Country Club
in Indianapolis. As a team, Green Bay finished in 11th place with a team score
of 684 while Bowling Green took the team title with identical team rounds of
300.
Each Phoenix golfer either tied their score from
Monday's opening round or bested it on Tuesday. Junior Grace Abitz finished
just one stroke back of Pokrandt after rounds of 86 and 81. Sophomore Renee Christensen (Greenleaf, Wis.) had
matching 85s to finish in a tie for 53rd. Junior Molly Fassbinder (Hudson, Wis.) and freshman Steph Laude (Slinger, Wis.) both shot rounds of 88 on Tuesday and
finished in 62nd and 63rd, respectively.
