- Green Bay divers Daniel Pogue
(Chisholm, Minn.) and Kayla Deters (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) wrapped up competition at the 2011
NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on Saturday at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas
Swimming Center at the University of Texas-Austin. Pogue finished his junior
campaign by making the finals in the 3-meter competition, while Deters topped
her performance from last season on the 1-meter board.
Pogue finished up his third consecutive trip to
Zones with a 17th-place showing on the high board with a score of 592.75.
Pogue's 3-meter total was 14 points higher than his 2010 performance.
"Danny put together a fine performance today to
round out a wonderful junior campaign," Phoenix diving coach Tom Stover said.
Deters finished the 1-meter event in 37th, five
spots higher than a year ago. The senior concluded her career with a score of
214.75, which was nearly 27 points higher than her total from last season's
Zone meet.
