GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Green Bay women's soccer head coach Trevor Warren has
announced the addition of Kimberley Seddon, a striker from Ashton Under Lyne, England, to his 2011 roster. She becomes
one of 12 new players set to join the Phoenix in the fall.
Seddon is currently a member of Salford Ladies FC, which
she joined in February. During her short stint at Salford FC, she has already
scored three goals and had four assists in her first three games. Prior to
joining Salford, Seddon played for Curzon Ashton where she scored six goals in
four games, as well as an additional five goals in seven games as a junior. In
the 2009 season, she netted 12 goals in eight games while appearing for
Stockport County LFC.
"Kim is a quick forward who likes to use her pace to get
in behind the defenses and play off the shoulder of the last defender," Warren
said. "She likes to run at defenders and will work hard to be a constant threat
to opponents' defenses. Kim is also a threat on set plays and corners with her
ability to deliver shots and crosses. She will be a great compliment to the
strikers we already have on the squad."
Seddon is currently studying at New Charter Academy which
is a center for sporting excellence in Ashton Under Lyne in England.
She joins 11 other newcomers for 2011, as Devyn Alberts
(Farmington, Minn.), Chandra Eigenberger (Green Bay, Wis.), Emily Friedl
(Kenosha, Wis.), Jenna Harrington (Madison, Wis.), Abby Juzwik (Madison, Wis.),
Hannah Kernen (Belleville, Wis.), Alisha Maciejewski (Neenah, Wis.), Katy
Pilarzyk (Madison, Wis.), Alex Ronchak (Arden Hills, Minn.), Leah Seib
(Waukesha, Wis.) and Sierra Valentine (Green Bay, Wis.) have already signed on to join the Phoenix next season.
