GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Green Bay junior diver Daniel Pogue (Chisholm, Minn.) has once again been tabbed as the
Horizon League Men's Diver of the Week for the period of Feb. 1-7, the
conference office announced Tuesday. Pogue has now been named conference Diver
of the Week seven times this season, and 12 times in his Phoenix career.
In
last Saturday's regular season finale against Milwaukee, Pogue swept the diving
events by recording the highest scores ever recorded in both the 1-meter and
3-meter events at the Peter F. Dorschel Natatorium. The junior standout
accumulated a score of 337.80 in the 1-meter competition, followed by a total
of 342.45 on the 3-meter board.
This
award marks the second time this season that Pogue has been honored at least
three weeks in a row, as he also earned Diver of the Week four consecutive
weeks from Oct. 25-Nov. 15.
The
Green Bay men's and women's swimming and diving teams are next in action at the
2011 Horizon League Championships, held Feb. 23-26, Cleveland, Ohio.
